Marvelous romantic apartment within a 16th century 'Fattoria', one of the old Tuscan farms where in the old days more families lived together in a self sufficient (school, church etc) way. The 'Fattoria' is restored with care over the years and is now transformed into a complex with 25 units, in a commanding position near the famous towns of Volterra, San Gimignano and Siena.
The view from the apartment is breathtaking, exactly what you would like to see when being in Tuscany! There are a lot of gardens and terraces on the property where you can enjoy the views and relax. To keep the Fattoria a quiet place, where you can relax and reflect, the owners decided not to create a swimming pool on the property. When people would like to swim, there is a possibility at a neighboring agriturismo nearby. Apartment Camino Grande is part of the oldest structure of the Farm.
Very thick walls and particular spaces give a lot of character to the apartment. This apartment is an ideal holiday location for people who enjoy the culture and architecture in Tuscany and are looking for a typical Tuscan environment, where peace and tranquility are assured.

Simple, but well equipped bathroom with bathtub.
Kitchen
The kitchen area is in fact the main living area. The large antique Tuscan fireplace is impressive! Next to this a modern kitchen is situated. It's a very tasteful area.

The cosy large living room is nicely decorated with beautiful antiques. One immediately feels at home.

The apartment is not specifically accessible for reduced mobile people.
Outside
Part of the apartment is a small terrace on the front side, with splendid views over the Tuscan countryside. On the complex a lot of different terraces with nice vast views are located. The gardens are full of flowers.
Notes
The mentioned washing machine is available in the condominial area of the complex. There is no swimming pool on the complex, but guests have the possibility to swim in the pool of a neighbouring 'agriturismo'.
SURROUNDINGS
Casole d'Elsa is a small authentic town centrally located in Tuscany. From here one can explore the entire region of Tuscany with all its treasures.
In Casole d'Elsa (4 km) main shops are located like bakery, butcher, supermarket, farmacy, etc.

Ideal for walks directly from the apartment. There are different golf courts in the direct surroundings. The Tyhrennian sea is 75 kilometers away.

Nearest international airports are in Florence (61 km) and Pisa (85 km). Both airports have excellent car rental facilities.
Distances
Immersed in the country side this property is an excellent starting point for whom likes tours and sightseeing all over Tuscany, Umbria and/or Lazio. The entire southern Tuscan country side with UNESCO World Heritage places like Val d'Orcia (Rocca d'Orcia 81 km), Pienza (84 km), Siena (32 km) and San Gimignano (21 km) as well as famous wine villages like Montalcino (Brunello) and Montepulciano (Vino Nobile) are within a stone's throw so to say. Also Volterra (27 km) is worth a visit and last but not least Florence (61 km) of course.
