Villa Rigone
This is a very pure authentic Umbrian estate with two farmhouses with fantastic views, which is the answer to the real Italian country life!
Located in one of the most characteristic spots of Umbria, where the hills get so gentle, and the view of olive groves so frequent, the Tenuta Rigone, offers a unique solution combining two separate houses merging in one compound, always in the full respect of the privacy.
Originally conceived as a small hamlet, for farmer families who, back in times, used to live all together. Now after the restoration, the hamlet has been turned into two separate houses. This is to try to keep alive somehow the sense of tradition of the countryside, of closeness among people and sense of community. The structures date back a couple of hundred years and there were also stables for animals.
The rebuilding of both farmhouses started in 1997 and was completed in 2001. Local craftsmen have complied with strict regulations to preserve the original and authentic character, using stones from the fields and old oak beams including the massive staircase to the first floor.
