Sunbeds, umbrellas, showers, changing rooms and mozzarella, these are just a few of the things that a Pugliese Lido will offer you.

We’ve already gone through the most stunning free beaches of Puglia but let’s be honest, sometimes the comfort of a Lido will prevail. Yes, secluded wild spots to take a dip in the sea are unbeatable, but who doesn’t enjoy a fresh lemonade in the shadow of an umbrella at times?

A Lido is the Italian beach club, where you can rent umbrellas and sunbeds while taking advantage of services like catering and showers, and Puglia can boast of having the 5 stars of lidos, with often very good restaurant facilities. These are our favorites.

Cala San Giovanni

Polignano a Mare - Mediterranean casual - wheelchair accessible - A wonderful pine forest frames this beach of very fine golden sand set in a natural cove. For lunch you can head to the bar set inside a suggestive natural cave or order it directly through the dedicated app, and get it comfortably under the shade of your umbrella.

Tamerici beach club

Monopoli - Shabby chic - wheelchair accessible - Le Tamerici Beach Club is a 4000 sq m oasis with an exquisitely Mediterranean flavor. At guests' disposal also a private car park, supervised from 9am to 7pm. The 5 meters distance in the positioning of the 60 umbrellas and the 37 tamarisk trees with their natural shade guarantee absolute privacy for guests. Changing rooms and hot showers complete the services of the Beach Club. A cascade of white terraces shaded by a bamboo pergola hide tables reserved for customers who can enjoy a lunch by the sea. A snack and bar service under the umbrella is also available for customers.

Calderisi Mare

Monopoli - Exclusive marine - This Lido is owned by the eponymous Masseria but is open to external guests as well. The new location is in Contrada Losciale and you can find the sign “Calderisi Mare” by the road. They have an amazing spot by the beach with tall shading palm trees, sunbeds and gazebos by the sea sheltered from the wind by beautiful natural sand dunes. The restaurant offers fresh, seasonal and organic food as well as freshly baked pizzas from the wood fired oven. To book send a WhatsApp to the team of Calderisi mare (+39)3453991282 or send an email: relax@calderisimare.com

Coccaro beach club

Savelletri - Exclusive chic - Coccaro Beach Club is a real 5-star lido of fine sand set in a private bay in the village of Savelletri. It offers a fish restaurant and sushi bar open day and night, baby club, SPA, massages, yoga and boutiques. the luxury of being able to eat or have an aperitif directly on the sunbeds on the beach.

Paradise beach

Campomarino - Mediterranean chic - Paradise Beach is really a little piece of paradise. The lido enjoys a magnificent view on the clear blue water and position on a fine golden sandy stretch of the Ionian coast. A great attention to details, welcoming staff and great food are some of the highlights of this place. The restaurant is open also for dinner and the Tramontana breeze that rises in the evening allows you to dine serenely staying cool,  with the background noise of the waves and the moon in the distance reflected in the rippled sea.

Ultima Spiaggia delle Cesine

Lecce - Essential chic - The lido is located along the San Cataldo–Otranto coast road, right on the border with the Le Cesine WWF Nature Reserve. You walk on a comfortable wooden walkway, between soft dunes covered with Mediterranean scrub and sea lilies, and you arrive on a wide sandy beach with raven veins, sloping down into transparent water, with a few well-spaced burgundy umbrellas. The bar and restaurant, simple but chic, are on a raised terrace, where you can have lunch and drinks looking at the sea.

Kalé Cora

Lecce - Tiki chic - Sand and rocks alternate in this oasis of tranquility immersed in the pristine landscape of the Salento Adriatic coast. Umbrellas and sunbeds are all well spaced from each other to guarantee maximum privacy and tranquility. Gazebos and canopies are also available for extra comfort. A tapas bistro with seats facing the sea offers sweet and savory breakfast, first and second courses and aperitifs, mainly with zero-km products all that with the breeze blowing on your face and an enchanting natural setting as a backdrop.

Mora mora beach

Lecce - Marine modern - Mora Mora Beach is a strip of private beach overlooking the Adriatic sea. With the clear water and white sandy beaches it almost feels like you’re on a tropical island. This is a perfect place for a relaxed day on a sunbed with a cocktail in your hand. After a long day in the sun, you can get around the table for dinner with the sea view at the Mora Mora beach club.

Lido Pizzo

Gallipoli - Marine minimal - The lido is immersed in the regional nature reserve of "Isola di Sant'Andrea - Punta Pizzo": a splendid stretch of coast south of Gallipoli. The bar and restaurant are ideal for a refreshing break or for a lunch based on simple and tasty foods prepared every day with local products. The bar also has a small newsstand, tobacco shop and bookshop. The large pine forest offers immediate, fresh and natural shelter from the hot summer sun and one area is used as a children's play area. The private parking area is supervised from 9am to 7.30pm.

Bagno Marino Archi

Otranto - Rétro chic - The lido is set in the cliff of Santa Cesarea Terme, one of the most beautiful and evocative stretches of the Adriatic coast. The lido lies on the rocks but the access to the sea is guaranteed and facilitated by ladders and various accesses. We recommend heading there quite early both to secure a spot and because the sun will set behind your back in the afternoon.
